The store page lists a live cooking show, a live performance, and a special anniversary IKEA buffet at 11am in the Kitchen Showroom, Level 2. Spots are limited. The Edge Malaysia reported IKEA Tebrau's opening on 16 November 2017: 502,815 sq ft, 54 showrooms, restaurant seating 750, first IKEA in southern Malaysia, at the time the largest in Southeast Asia. Saturday 14 November 2026 is the weekend of that ninth year. The store is at No. 33, Jalan Harmonium, Taman Desa Tebrau, 81100 Johor Bahru, inside Toppen Shopping Centre, next to AEON Mall Tebrau City.
Kitchen Showroom, Level 2, 11am
The appointment is 11am, Saturday, Kitchen Showroom on Level 2. That is a showroom floor, not the Swedish Restaurant. The restaurant is a separate room with its own 9:30am to 9:30pm hours. The buffet named on the poster is the anniversary set with Imran, not the regular chicken ball plate. Register. The store says spots are limited. A walk-in at 11am without a form confirmation is a way to watch from the edge of a full room.
Imran Ajmain is the name on the IKEA Tebrau tile. The form is the RSVP. The page does not publish a ticket price, so treat entry as a registered store activity until the form or a staffer says otherwise. Photograph your confirmation before you travel. IKEA Malaysia is cashless from 1 September 2026. If the buffet has a till, bring a card or e-wallet.

Families who want Småland first should know weekend Småland is 10am to 8:30pm, 10 kids per session, 100cm to 130cm, toilet trained. Do not count on a Småland slot at 10:30am on an anniversary Saturday.

If you are bringing kids, pick one Level 2 activity and eat in the restaurant around it.
The Swedish Restaurant still has chicken balls from 6 October. Family soup combo and Biscoff cheesecake on the October menu were dated through 16 November, so they overlap this Saturday if IKEA leaves those lines on the board. Baked chicken mandi is a weekday plate through 30 November, so it will not be on the Saturday board. Breakfast nasi lemak windows are 9:30am to 11am. If you want breakfast and the 11am show, eat first, then go upstairs.

Getting to Jalan Harmonium
No MRT. Buses from JB Sentral and Larkin stop at Toppen / IKEA Tebrau. J10, J16, P111. Parking is Toppen. IKEA validates RM1 off the first three hours if you buy something in the IKEA store. Saturday is a weekend rate: cars RM3 for the first three hours, then RM1 an hour, motorbikes RM2 per entry. The Edge's 2017 opening note put 1,771 parking bays on this site. Saturday of an anniversary weekend will still fill the covered decks by late morning.
Register on the form this week. 14 November is a Saturday in the school-holiday shoulder, and the store already knows the Kitchen Showroom is a small room. The Edge opening date is 16 November. Come on the 14th if you want the live set. Come on a quieter weekday if you only wanted the building.
