Waited for at least 10 minutes in a queue outside the restaurant. Waiting a while was quite alright... for now...
Started waiting around 13:30.
And we waited... and waited... order taken at 13:41...
Shown to our seat around 5 minutes later...
Our drinks came... well, ok... had our drinks for a while... and waited until 14:15... some tables who arrived later than us had already started eating.
???
One table even finished eating.
???
Complained to the server who took our order...
Only then, at 14:25, did the food arrive.
If it reached 14:30, I would have walked out already.
Chicken was ok. Some parts were also dry...
I wouldn't come here if you are in a rush.
After finishing, I went to pay and brought up this issue to who I suppose is the manager, Ms. Felicia... she was very defensive and kept making excuses and even refuted my claim that others who came later got their food first.
Well... bad experience for me...
Hard to imagine if I would come and support them again.

Average Chinese restaurant. The signature chicken wasn't as tasty as I expected. The other dishes were also quite average.
The char siew and roasted pork noodles were not bad (I forgot to take a picture). Note that dim sum is only available before 5 PM.

"The ambience is very open, so it can be noisy. The sweet and sour pork is just glazed minced pork balls, but the other ingredients, like the lychee and pineapples, are fresh. The tofu dish is nice as well. The chicken porridge has no flavor, even though there's enough chicken meat. The duck egg, or whatever egg is supposed to come with each bowl, isn't substantial enough to elevate the flavor as expected. The staff service is good; they helped us rush our dishes due to our time constraints. Drinks aren't cheap, at RM4.80 for a bottle of mineral water."

Steamed kampong chicken was overcooked and distinctly lacking in the chicken flavor one would expect. The rice was pretty good, though, and the sauces are all great. Dim sum items were also above average. Unfortunately, the other stir-fry dishes were far below average. The sweet and sour pork was mostly batter, and the brinjal was not pleasant to eat. Should have gone to Nando's.

I visited an interesting spot that offers a unique combination of traditional chicken dishes and dim sum. The restaurant’s décor isn’t particularly remarkable, but the warmth and attentiveness of the staff more than makes up for the simple setting. The tender chicken, served with fragrant rice, paired wonderfully with the ginger sauce, which added just the right amount of zing to each bite. It was comforting, satisfying, and full of flavor – a dish I would gladly return for. On the other hand, the dim sum didn’t quite measure up to expectations. The portions were surprisingly small, and the flavors didn't impress me as much as other dim sum places I’ve been to. While it was decent, it lacked that rich depth and freshness you often find in better dim sum establishments.

Was hungry and looking for something to snack on and passed by this interesting chicken rice shop that also sells dim sum!
They have some specials - 三色烧包 and 仙草冻饮料… both were too sweet, but tasted really good!
The must-haves are really the 烧鸡 and 烧腊双拼! The chicken was so tender, and the roasted pork and char siew were 肥肉刚好 - they had just the right amount of fatty and lean parts, hence they melted in the mouth.
The other dim sum were ok, like typical dim sum. Love the various chili choices - all very good!

Located in a somewhat secluded side alley of this mall, this eatery isn't found on the main shopping path. It is nicely renovated, designed, and cleanly maintained with a modern Chinese restaurant look.
Although Swee Kee is more famous for their chicken rice, this review will be about their dim sum.
Every one of them was presented in a very good-looking, old-school, traditional bamboo basket, even custom-printed with their own SK logo.
Every dim sum was served hot. Even the baskets themselves were hot to the touch. They even add a piece of banana (lotus?) leaf in the steamed ones, not only as support but also to smartly incorporate an earthy 香气 into them.
The chilli sauce condiment served for their dim sum is a garlic chilli sauce with a slight touch of honey. Mildly spicy, this is an easygoing spiciness and not the "bite your tongue" type. This was acceptable for a dim sum chilli.
611 鱼子蒸烧卖 Siew Mai Dumpling = RM8.80
The classic Siew Mai. This was beautifully wrapped, and there are three of them in a standard size. Very juicy bite. The first thing that hits you is the prawn flavour, and I think they use at least one prawn in this. The next taste that follows up very closely is mushrooms. Completely not porky at all.
Not overly prawny or mushroomy, this combined taste of prawn and mushroom paired together very well, and I thought was a winning combination.
612 白玉翠虾饺 Har Gao Dumpling = RM9.80
I was impressed with the 手工 delicate, beautiful pleated folds on this Har Gao. It had a delicate skin, and the taste profile of the dough reminds me of the type of skin you'd normally encounter in a Chee Cheong Fun.
It looks thick but is melt-in-your-mouth quality. That said, it does unfortunately break. Inside is a whole juicy, bouncy prawn with some 汤汁 within. Not a single trace of pork that I tasted, this is prawny in taste profile but also not overly prawny.
613 蜜汁叉烧包 Char Siew Bun = RM7.80
Bao skin is delightfully pillowy and fluffy soft. The filling within is the sweetish, gooey type and not overly sweet.
I LOVE the slightly larger bits of Char Siew pieces within. Thick and rich tasting, this CSB filling just had a very 酒楼 type of Atas taste to it.
614 黄金流沙包 Signature Egg Custard Bun = RM8.80
Presented like a black obsidian jewel, they looked ornate and Instagrammably beautiful with a very artistic golden calligraphic-like brush stroke on them.
The skin texture is pretty much the same pillowy soft as their CSB. When broken, the hot salted egg filling immediately flowed out and was very fluid in consistency. It really befits its "流沙" name.
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At RM8.80 (S$2.70) for the Siew Mai, this is affordable, above-average quality, and is definitely worth the money to try.
At RM9.80 (S$3.00) for the Har Gao, likewise, this was affordable for the quality they have here. Beautiful delicate folds.
At RM7.80 (S$2.40) for the Char Siew Baos, again, affordable and excellent quality. This CSB tastes like something you'd normally eat at a 酒楼 level.
At RM8.80 (RM2.70) for their LSB 流沙包, yes please! Everything about this dish screams "EAT ME NOW!"
And we haven't even touched on the customer service level. Even as I finished my dim sum, no one came over to rush to clear my plates, and I didn't feel rushed to leave at all.
THIS is the quintessential perfect dim sum experience. But of course, I myself also [automatic lah] and left soon after eating without hogging seats for hours on end.
Hopefully, they are able to do more promotion and marketing to reach out to more people because the dim sum here is really no joke. More people need to know there is a new dim sum contender in JB! This is an easy top

"The chicken rice was delicious. The bottom portion of the roast pork was very salty.
The dim sum was good.
The Chee Cheong fun came with a special sauce.
The double-boiled soup was delicious.
Their homemade Ngor Hiang was just so-so."
