I walked into this shop with the intention of replacing my watch battery. An elderly gentleman seated in the shop came over to assist me. I asked how much it would cost to replace the battery, and he said that he couldn't quote a price until I took off my watch to show him. I was fine with this, as I thought he just wanted to see the back casing. He then said he needed to see the brand and that the price would vary depending on the brand, which, to me, was absolutely absurd. Why should the pricing depend on the brand of my watch? The battery cost should be fixed, depending on which country it's from and whether the battery is original or not. When he saw the brand of my watch, he quoted me RM150 for the replacement, which I thought was overpriced – like a rip-off, in my opinion. This is clearly very dishonest, and he has no right to charge such exorbitant prices when the cost of an original watch battery is $3.50. Even if you factor in the labor cost, it shouldn't add up to RM150. I have included pictures to show my honest review, so customers are aware before they visit this store. Photos of the battery they will be using were shown to me as well and can be referred to above. I am sharing this experience to caution customers to be aware and take extra care when purchasing or repairing their watches at this store.
