Great tasting Vietnamese food franchise Anh- Viet is finally docked! And docked it did, in AEON Tebrau Mall, replacing The Manhattan Fish Restaurant. Together with Din Tai Fung and Hunan NengGongJi restaurant, these three form very formidable opponents for the existing food & beverage outlets here. The place is a little cramped but the service is prompt and attentive. The attendants are always on their toes, constantly looking out for empty tables, serving, clearing up and attending to raised hands needing refills, napkins or just extra cutlery. 1. Ordered their famous Bun-Cha, a dish of grilled pork with fish sauce and herbs with vermicelli (remember Anthony Bourdain had this with Ex-President Barack Obama in Vietnam). Pork is fresh, tastes wonderful with the fish broth!! 2. Also took on the Bahn-Mi, a delicious small baguette filled with meats and veggies(no outside bread/confectionary can do as well as the Vietnamese on this French loaf) 3. Ordered their clams in coconut broth. So-so only, not my favorite. I signed up as their "Foodie-Enthusiast" and hoping to get three stars to qualify for a rm10 cash voucher. Come along, drop by! Vietnamese cuisine can't get any better than this!

Was quite hungry while walking around the mall and saw this restaurant and thought it was under the same company called "Pho Viet". Then quickly found out it was a different company. I was quite hungry anyways so I just entered. While walking towards an empty table the server told me to sit. I was greeted by the staff. And once sat was told to scan the QR to order. Once ordered, the noodle arrived within 6 minutes and the coffee another 5 minutes, I would complain about it BUT, it was understandable since there was only 2 staff manning the bar while the kitchen had countless cooks and staff on a busy Friday night. Firstly the broth was smooth and nicely seasoned, with the sliced beef being fresh along with the beef ball. Moving on to the noodles it was the perfect consistency with slightly sticky, glossy and slightly bouncy. Moving on with the side dishes, the fried dumpling was well.. Normal, nothing to scream nor shout about along with the fresh roll with prawns, it was refreshing seeing there was loads of veg and fresh greens in it. But for my own taste buds, the papaya salad was quite sour as it over powers the enjoyment of the texture of the papaya and peanuts, besides that the food was great. Last the coffee was good, for one they separated the sweat condenced milk from the coffee, and the taste of the egg foam was not strong yet was just enough to know it was an egg foam, and once mixed all together it was all perfect with the foam, coffee and the slight sweatness from the condenced milk, all perfect in sync. Anyways the conclusion for this place, honestly for the price and service given I would say this is a place to try if u are in the area and craving for some Vietnamese food.
