Like the rojak and laksa. Both tastes good. Wish they serve the cendol after the meal (we didn’t make the request but thought would be a nice service to ask customer preference.)
Overall nice environment to enjoy urge for Peranakan food

I recently visited Peranakan Place at Aeon Mall Tebrau City in Johor Bahru—the atmosphere immediately stood out with its inviting blend of traditional Peranakan décor and contemporary café vibrance. The interiors are bright and thoughtfully furnished, creating a warm, family‑friendly space.
On the food front, the signature Nyonya dishes deliver a pleasant surprise: the ayam berempah was aromatic, crispy on the outside and juicy within, with a well-balanced blend of spices that gave it a delightful kick. The baba chendol was a refreshing treat—generously topped with fragrant gula Melaka and creamy coconut milk, it offered a perfect balance of sweetness and texture.
Service is attentive and friendly.
Prices are mid‑range for mall dining—reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes.
Overall, Peranakan Place is a solid pick if you’re at Aeon Tebrau City craving well‑executed local flavours in a comfy, clean setting.

Visited for brunch. Inviting, cheerful Peranakan deco. Initially I wanted to sit inside, but it was warm (staff mentioned the aircon has not been functioning for a while). Thus, I moved to the outer seating area.
I had the Nasi Pandan Chicken Pong Teh. Rice was fluffy and generous sambal portion. Chicken was tender. Kopi on the sweeter side.
Overall, a pleasant dining experience with good service.

I had an amazing dining experience at Peranakan Place in AEON Tebrau! The food was absolutely delicious – rich, authentic flavours that really reminded me of home-cooked Peranakan meals. Every dish was well-balanced, fragrant, and beautifully presented.

Highly recommend their signature dishes – each bite was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

The food was good! We had the assam laksa, chicken wings, pai tee, dry noodles and cendol. The servers were polite and offered to take our orders even though the QR ordering system was in place. Ordering was seamless and the food was served quickly.

The food was ok but the place was clean and nicely decorated. Reminded me of Malacca. Got the feeling of being transported back to their Malacca branch. 😆
Service was prompt and friendly and prices reasonable.

Took dinner at Peranakan restaurant yesterday, tried nyonya rendang it was top notch! The taste was incredibly authentic and flavoured. However, I also tried the nyonya laksa well not up to the expectation cause not much of spices used and the soup was not thick and more watery.Besides, well I liked the sirap lime cause it was less sugary and refreshing to drink.
Service would be rated 4 ,staffs were friendly and were attentive to attend our requests and orders timely.
The ambience was great able to capture memorable pictures with family. As it felt like we were immersed in a nyonya culture and enjoying delectable dishes at the same time.
To conclude,I would definitely recommend
Peranakan restaurant to those who crave nyonya cuisines and foodies.
Definitely worth the price and not much expensive.
Also, without the necessary travelling to Melaka you can try it in Jb Aeon tebrau Peranakan restaurant!

Great place and delicious food. Recommended!

Laksa nyonya is distinctively nice. The laksa gravy is thick and heavy taste of turmeric, galangal and lemongrass. Not too sourish despite mild laksa aroma and some slices of cucumber .
The nasi pandan kukus ayam ponteh was okay.
The cendol should be the highlight of the meal as it is prepared in heavy syrup, fragrant gula melaka and lots of ingredient but the portion is kind a small.

I had an amazing dining experience. The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented — especially the nyonya laksa. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The ambience was cozy and perfect for enjoying traditional Nyonya cuisine. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience true Peranakan flavors!”

Above average Peranakan food. The food was on the saltier side for the Singaporean palate. But I think from the Malaysian perspective, it is probably okay :)
Assam Laksa was good. So were the lady's fingers. Food portions were generous. We definitely over-ordered. A one dish meal would be good enough in terms of portions. So $40-60 MYR per pax isn't really indicative of the average spend per person here.
