My family was genuinely excited when we found out a DIY+ outlet was opening at Toppen. We followed up with Toppen and Mr DIY’s Facebook page because we wanted to visit on the first day to show support. Once we knew it was open, we went immediately and brought along the voucher given by Mr DIY. At the counter, we specifically asked the cashier whether the voucher could be used. After checking among themselves, they confirmed it could. However, when we tried to make payment on 26 January 2026 at around 7:00 PM, the voucher suddenly could not be used. The reasons given were “first day opening” and “no internet.” Technical and preparation issues are not the customer’s problem. If the outlet is not ready, it should not open yet. This is not Mr DIY’s first outlet. The “solution” given was simply to use the voucher at another outlet. When we asked for the manager, we were told the manager was on break. It felt like the staff were just trying to push us away. This was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I will be lodging a report with KPDNKK.
