"New product from D’Laksa, and to be honest, the asam pedas was so good! Pure, authentic taste of Asam Pedas. Big portion, and the fish size was also quite big. The asam pedas udang was the best – a great combination. You can order one set meal for two and just add on more rice and other side dishes. Also, you should try out the crispy tofu. Overall, good food that tastes just like home-cooked food! 😍"
I always enjoy D'Laksa's Asam Laksa. This was my first time trying their Asam Pedas.
I ordered their Asam Pedas Pari Set, which included white rice and a drink, for RM21.90. The fish portion was good, and the gravy was thick, with the right balance of sour and spicy for my taste.
"Saw this new shop pop up, and drawn in by the Laksa, we decided to give it a try -- and were largely disappointed.
While it's okay value for money, with a decent portion of fish and plenty of vegetables, the Asam itself just didn’t make the cut. It was sour, but not really spicy.
Thought it might become a staple, but unfortunately not for us."
How do you cook asam pedas with a taste of sweetness? I couldn't even eat the asam pedas at all! The bak choi tasted so-so. Overall, the taste was useless. I wasted over $20 on pieces of junk!
"Nice food! Really like the Asam Pedas at this outlet, and the service is fast too. It's tasty and the price is affordable. Suitable for those who love spicy food. I've been there twice, and the quality has been maintained."
"This outlet is very spacious, with plenty of seats available! The food is good as always. I tried the yam abacus for the first time, and it's so fragrant and yummy. It's so sweet that they provide a section for letter writing for Parents' Day!"
Liked the Hakka-style food. Had cold tofu with century egg – fresh and yummy! Plus, fried chicken skewers were crispy on the outside and tender and moist inside. A bestlicious combo! 💕
Excellent service; the staff were attentive and fast. Will come back and bring friends.
"My boyfriend and I didn't think much about this place when we chose it, but the food exceeded our expectations. We ordered the Mui cai pork and salted fish pork patty set. Both were very flavorful and well-balanced meals. The berry and leicha yogurt was surprisingly good, too, but admittedly it's an acquired taste. We'll definitely return and try other dishes."
This is our second time at the restaurant. The soups my husband has tried include lotus root, and this time, pig organ soup. The rice wine vermicelli is good, except the meat used is bacon. I asked if it could be changed to chicken, and the staff helped to ask the kitchen, but they were not able to do it. Overall, the food is decent, and I can see us returning for more to try other food items.
