TOPPEN Shopping Centre in Johor Bahru partners with Kita Kontinjen Malaysia for Merdeka celebrations from 26 August to 4 October 2026. The event features gift-with-purchase rewards, a shouting challenge with prizes up to RM1,000, and fashion and creative contests on 22 and 23 August.
GWP Rewards and Merdeka Fun Activities
Shoppers at TOPPEN redeem exclusive GWP rewards from 26 August to 4 October 2026. The Merdeka Fun event features coloring activities for children using Faber-Castell pencils, traditional Malaysian costumes including a Baju Melayu style dress with feathered headdress, and group photo opportunities with Malaysia flags. A woman in elaborate red-and-gold traditional attire and a boy in a blue and yellow shirt with Merdeka-themed headband were among those celebrating at the mall's event space.
Lautan Semangat Merdeka Challenge
The Lautan Semangat Merdeka Challenge invites participants to shout "MERDEKA!" three times for a chance to win prizes worth up to RM1,000. The challenge tests who has the loudest Merdeka spirit at TOPPEN.
