SilverGenZ Johor Healthy Aging Movement at Toppen: Free Health Checks, Zumba, Yoga and Kids Colouring Contest
SilverGenZ brings the Johor Healthy Aging Movement to Toppen Shopping Centre on 10 and 11 October, from 10am to 6pm at L3 Event Piazza. The free-admission carnival, held in conjunction with Malaysia's Bulan Warga Emas and World Mental Health Day, offers health screenings, Zumba, yoga, health talks, family games, balloon sculpting and a goodie bag redemption.
Event partners include Bandar Dato' Onn Specialist Hospital, Regency Specialist Hospital and Raffles University, with Toppen Shopping Centre as the official supporting partner.
Day 1: Zumba, Health Talks and Yoga
Day 1 on Saturday, 10 October opens with a Warm-Up Zumba Session from 10am to 11am, followed by the official launching ceremony at 11am. Balloon Sculpting Giveaway runs from 12pm to 4pm, Health Talk Sessions take place from 2.30pm to 4pm, and a Yoga Session closes the day from 4pm to 5pm.
One of the featured talks, "Understanding Dementia: Supporting Better Care Through Better Understanding," is delivered by Dr. Ng Chai Chen, Geriatrician at HSI, on 10 October from 2.30pm to 3pm. The session is free to join.
Day 2: Kids Colouring Contest and Aerobic Dance
On Sunday, 11 October, the Kids Colouring Contest runs from 10am to 1pm, with two categories: Group A for ages 7 to 9 and Group B for ages 10 to 12. Prizes include RM300 for first place, RM200 for second, RM100 for third, and five consolation prizes of RM50 each. Entry is free, but slots are limited and registration is required via the QR code or the link in the post.
Participants must bring their own table and colouring materials; the organiser provides the colouring sheet. An Aerobic Dance Session follows from 2pm to 6pm.
Free Health Screenings and Goodie Bags
Day 1 features a complimentary HbA1c Test by Regency Specialist Hospital, while Day 2 offers a complimentary Basic Health Screening by KPJ Dato' Onn Specialist Hospital, covering blood pressure, BMI, blood glucose and heart screening. Family Game Stations let visitors collect stamps, which can be redeemed for an exclusive Goodie Bag on a first come, first served basis while stocks last.
The carnival also includes a Kids Colouring Workshop, a Health & Wellness Market and more family fun. Admission to all activities is free, and the event is open to all ages, from grandparents to children.
