AEON Malls and Ministry of Health Drive Record-Breaking Nationwide Mall Walking Campaign





In a powerful demonstration of its commitment to public well-being, AEON Malls proudly partnered with the Ministry of Health (MOH) as the main strategic collaborator for the recent Nationwide Mall Walking Campaign. This impactful initiative, held from September 1st and concluding recently, was a key component of the 'Sambutan Bulan Malaysia Sihat Sejahtera (BMSS) Peringkat Kebangsaan 2025' – a national celebration dedicated to a healthy and prosperous Malaysia.
Setting a New National Benchmark for Health
The collaborative spirit across 28 AEON Malls culminated in an extraordinary achievement, officially recognized by the Malaysian Book of Records (MBOR). The campaign earned the prestigious title for the "Most Steps Accumulated in a Shopping Centre Walking Campaign." This remarkable feat was made possible by the unwavering dedication of 1,161 enthusiastic participants, who collectively logged an astounding 17.9 million steps, turning everyday mall visits into a nationwide health movement.
A Resounding Official Launch
The campaign received a high-profile launch by none other than the Minister of Health, YB Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, at AEON MALL AU2 Setiawangsa. His presence underscored the national importance and official backing of this vital health initiative, highlighting the government's commitment to fostering healthier lifestyles among its citizens.
