I am writing to express my concern regarding an incident that occurred at the Typo store in Tebrau on July 17, 2024. During my visit, my sister was offered a free bottle of water by a staff member. However, upon checking out, I was unexpectedly charged RM4 for the bottle of water. This charge was not clearly communicated to my sister beforehand. When my sister inquired about this charge at the checkout, the staff member who assisted her raised her voice to explain that the RM4 was for CHARITY, speaking so loudly that I could hear it from outside the store, prompting me to come in and check on the situation. I found this to be unprofessional and distressing. As a customer, I believe that all charges should be transparently communicated, and any inquiries should be handled courteously. The amount of money isn't the issue; it's the attitude and transparency that are important. I hope that such incidents do not occur in the future, as they negatively impact the customer experience.
