Sorry to say that the food wasn't very tasty. Maybe locals like this taste? I had the Shoyu ramen as well, and it was yucky. It didn't have much taste; it just had a shoyu flavor. The price isn't cheap either. I prefer sushi mentai.

"Good initiative from the restaurant. I recently went for the Buka & Buffet promotion, and they assigned tables accordingly, so the line went smoothly (expect some waiting due to the long line of people). Most of the listed food was available, but hot items like Salmon Skin were missing, as usual, though. Anyway, kudos to the staff for working tirelessly, especially during peak hours! Definitely will come again."

The food lived up to its name, Sushi King! Good flavors and texture. Besides the sushi, we also ordered the miso ramen. It was good, although the soup wasn't very hot (probably because we arrived early and were the first to order). Good to try and value for money.

Date & Time: January 25th, 2025, 8:00 PM Location: AEON Jusco Tebrau City, Johor Bahru To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the food quality at your establishment. During my recent visit, I ordered several salmon dishes and a miso ramen, but unfortunately, the experience was highly disappointing. Firstly, the salmon was not fresh and had an unpleasant odor, which made it unappetizing. Additionally, the portion sizes were exceptionally small, which did not justify the price. Secondly, the miso ramen was poorly prepared. The noodles were undercooked, resulting in a hard texture, and the broth had an unusual, off-putting smell. The meat in the ramen also exhibited the same issue, making the dish entirely unsatisfactory. Overall, the food quality did not meet even basic standards, and I find this unacceptable. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as such issues can severely impact customer satisfaction and the restaurant’s reputation. I would appreciate a response regarding this matter. Sincerely, Syon

"When I first sat down, the tableware was missing, and the table was sticky. Even the wasabi was empty. After I asked for some, the waiter actually gave me an empty can. When the waiter was serving the food, he accidentally knocked over the sushi. Although it didn't fall off the plate, it had touched the waiter's hand, so I returned that plate of sushi. I thought he would bring me a new plate, but he directly cancelled that sushi order and didn't tell me. Even with a full house, the sushi on the revolving table was also empty. The service attitude and the food were both very bad. I'll never come back again!"

Went to Sushi King for the sushi bonanza iftar. Everything was great! Plus, we also received the duit raya. Thank you, Sushi King!

"Stood there for 5 minutes and no one attended to us. Regarding the food, hygiene is a big issue! We found a live cockroach running around."

"The worst service ever. The staff resisted seating us inside to dine in comfortably because we were only two people, even though the place wasn't crowded. But when we passed by again later, they allowed two Malays to sit inside. Management, please take necessary action."

After my last visit to a different Sushi King outlet (a year ago), I can summarize that Sushi King, in general, is declining in service and hygiene. At 7pm on Saturday, there was only one person manning the entrance, cashier, cleaning tables, and sending out the food. Seriously? The sushi covers were worn and didn't seem properly cleaned. There was still rice on the side of the table from who-knows-when. Due to the staff shortage, I had to go to another table to get chopsticks, soy sauce, and tissues. P.S. If you are a customer reading this, I suggest bringing your own wet wipes and not expecting the staff to greet you (welcome or thank you). They'll likely give you an annoyed look (like, "Hello, I don't owe you anything, okay? I paid for the food"). So, I've decided to stop eating at Sushi King entirely.
