PenyetPenyet specializes in authentic Indonesian ayam penyet, the beloved East Javanese fried chicken dish that has become one of Malaysia's favorite international cuisines. This restaurant celebrates the traditional preparation method of "squeezed fried chicken," where perfectly fried chicken is gently pressed with a pestle against a mortar to enhance tenderness while preserving the crispy exterior.
The restaurant's signature dish features fresh kampong chicken marinated with selected herbs and Indonesian spices, then fried to golden perfection before the traditional penyet process. Each serving includes the essential spicy sambal made with chilies, anchovies, tomatoes, shallots, garlic, shrimp paste, tamarind, and lime juice, alongside fresh cucumber slices, fried tofu, and tempeh that complete the authentic Indonesian experience.
Known for their scrumptious favorable flavours that cater to Southeast Asian tastes, PenyetPenyet represents the growing popularity of ayam penyet across Malaysia and Singapore. The restaurant's commitment to authentic Indonesian preparation methods, combined with fresh ingredients and traditional spice combinations, provides diners with an genuine taste of Indonesian culinary culture within the convenient shopping environment of AEON Tebrau City.
Your food is undoubtedly scrumptious. However, your staff member, the tallest one who always wears a red cap is very unhygienic. He sneezed and coughed over the meal while it was being prepared in front of customers. What the hell is going on?

Unpleasant experience and the food was just normal. The guy at the cashier on 2 July 8pm was being impolite and rude. When I asked that my order to be thigh drum, he said yes when he knew it was not. This because I saw his colleague packed. When I opened the box and said it was not what he said, he then tried to use other excuses, and in the end asked me to buy a new set or just get lost. If you explained to me upfront when I asked I'm ok, but don't try to pull a fast one as if I was blind and waited for customer to catch your lie and then even asked me to get lost. Thank you and there are nicer food elsewhere.

Penyek chicken topping..
In the menu, the fragrant rice is fragrant, but for plain white rice. Try drinking the soup for that, it's like plain water with salt and black pepper.. you remember that we don't know how to cook... don't let me make a complaint to you...

The food is clean, delicious, and reasonably priced. The service is good and friendly. Unfortunately, it takes a while, and the menu doesn't include rice.
