Gindaco Tebrau City brings Japan's No. 1 takoyaki brand to AEON Mall, offering authentic Japanese street food with premium ingredients and traditional preparation methods. Located at Lot KS1 on the second floor, this internationally renowned chain serves their signature takoyaki balls filled with high-quality imported octopus sourced from African seas, with each ball containing 8 grams of premium octopus representing 50% of ingredient costs.
The restaurant offers four distinct takoyaki varieties: Original with signature sauce and dancing bonito flakes, Negidako with tempura sauce and green onions, Cheese Mentaiko featuring mozzarella and spicy cod roe, and Teritama with teriyaki sauce and fresh egg salad. Beyond takoyaki, their menu includes authentic Yakisoba with cabbage, chicken, and traditional toppings, all prepared using high-quality wheat flour and seafood soup stock.
Operating with halal certification and promotional pricing starting at RM8.50, Gindaco makes authentic Japanese street food accessible to Malaysian families while maintaining the crispy-outside, soft-and-succulent-inside texture that defines perfect takoyaki. With nearly 500 locations across Japan and Asia, Gindaco's presence in AEON Tebrau City brings legitimate Japanese street food culture to Johor Bahru's diverse dining scene. Takoyaki appears to be made on the spot, so it is served hot but takes a while. Tried the Red Mayo Takoyaki. Most of the flavour came from the sauces, so if you like Mayo you'd prob dig this. If not, it's okay.

I'm very angry!! The katsuobushi 柴鱼片 is very very very less. And I waited so long, they are working slowly, and enjoying their own sweet time 🙄. …

Recommend social distancing from the shop. Heated up takopachi not freshly made, funky tako filling and egg salad.

Recently reopened on the 3rd floor of Tebrau City, this Gindaco outlet is located inside the Japan Village. There's a wide range of toppings you can choose from ranging from the Classic and Cheese Mentaiko. Do expect a waiting time of around 10 mins as the takoyaki is made fresh on the spot!
